The exhibition “Michelangelo: The Master of the Sistine Chapel” invites the public to an unprecedented immersion in frescoes that consecrated the Italian genius, through a special printing technique that recreates with high fidelity the colors, textures and depth of the original paintings.
The exhibition “Michelangelo: The Master of the Sistine Chapel” invites the public to an unprecedented immersion in frescoes that consecrated the Italian genius, through a special printing technique that recreates with high fidelity the colors, textures and depth of the original paintings.
On display at the Correios Cultural Center, in the Center of Rio, the exhibition reproduces in real size the paintings of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, from photographs in very high definition. The feature allows close observation of details that, in the original work, often go unnoticed, such as brushstrokes, facial expressions and symbolic elements present in the murals.
