Until February 2, CCBB Rio de Janeiro receives the exhibition “Manguezal”, which occupies the fourth floor of the building with a sensitive look at fertile territories where nature, memory and culture intertwine. Curated by Marcelo Campos, the exhibition brings together works by artists such as Lasar Segall, Hélio Oiticica, Celeida Tostes, Carybé, Ania Rízia, Salisa Rosa, Gabriel Haddad and Leonardo Bora, among others. Exposure moves between different languages to explore the mangrove as a space of creation, resistance and ancestry.
One of the high points is the allegorical car installed on the ground floor of the CCBB, created by Haddad and Bora, which brings the popular energy of the carnaval into the exhibition space, expanding the perception of the mangrove as a territory of celebration and transformation.
