The 31st edition of the LGBTQIA+ Pride Parade of Rio de Janeiro will take place on Sunday (22/11), at Copacabana Beach. This year's event has as its theme “We recognize just all forms of love and existence” and marks the 15 years of recognition of homoaffective unions in Brazil.
The decision, taken by the Supreme Court in 2011, paved the way for civil marriage equality and extended legal protection and recognition of families formed by same-sex couples. The 2026 edition of the Parada highlights this milestone as part of the programming focused on citizenship and human rights.
In addition to the traditional march in Copacabana, the agenda brings together more than 30 events related to culture, citizenship and diversity. The program includes saraus, acts-shows, concerts, shows, festivals, fairs, debates cycles, national meetings, seminars and awards.
