The singer and pianist Leila Pinheiro takes the stage of the Riachuelo Rio Theatre on September 10th to celebrate 45 years of career with the show Long live My Samba. The show marks the artist's reunion with the genre, 12 years after the debut of I sing Samba, and will count on the special participation of Blackinho da Serrinha, partner since that first assembly.
The repertoire brings together classics of great samba masters, such as João Bosco and Aldir Blanc, Dona Ivone Lara, Nei Lopes, João Nogueira, Arlindo Cruz, Sombrerinha, Xande de Pilares, Almir Guineto and Jorge Aragon. Among the songs chosen are “Nação” (João Bosco and Aldir Blanc), “Tendência” (Dona Ivone Lara and Jorge Aragon), “Fiego de Saudade” (Sombrinha and Adilson Victor) and “Trílha do Amor” (Xande de Pilares and Rogério Bernini). The public will also meet “My Hose”, composition of Leila in honor of samba school, already recorded, but unprecedented on stage.
With arrangements that unite sophistication and tradition, Leila presents herself to the piano in a few moments, accompanied by a group of five musicians: Hudson Sete Cordas (seven string guitar), Diego Zangado (drum), Leandro Pereira (cavaquinho), Julio Florindo (contrabass) and Luiz Augusto (percussion).
