Labor Samba at the Renaissance Club

Samba in Rio de Janeiro has no day, no time. One of the most traditional wheels of the city takes place in the middle of Monday: the Samba do Trabalheiro, in the Renaissance Club, opens its doors to the public from 17h.

A table on a table, top musicians, the primacy of samba carioca is present to celebrate the worker. Under the leadership of composer and singer Moacyr Luz, a timasse of classical instrumentists sings as “The Ronco da Cúíca” (João Bosco and Aldir Blanc), “Making Samba” (Moacyr and Zeca Pagodinho) and “Inspiration Crazy” (Moacyr and Wanderley Monteiro).

The meeting always takes place in Clube Renaissance, a stronghold considered by those who understand the subject with barn of one of the best and most lively samba wheels in Rio. A meeting and resistance point, the stage of the struggle for the repair of the historical debt with the black people, in the Andaraí neighborhood.

From the first sound of drums to chords of guitars, candies of artists who visit the site, presentation new talents and musical meetings of various rhythms. Almost 20 years old, the Labor Samba has recorded records and important music awards.
