The PRIO Theatre, at the Jockey Club, receives until the day 27/09 the show “Subversion Kafka”, with Caio Blat and Pedro Henrique Müller. In the Rio season since August 14, the montage is directed by Caio Blat and has a screenplay by the playwright Rogério Blat. The play adapts the short stories “First Pain”, “The Hunger Artist” and “Josephina, The Rat Singer”, by Czech writer Franz Kafka.
The show addresses the condition of the artist in the contemporary world from three characters who confront the search for artistic perfection and the limits between talent and fraud. On the scene, the actors present what would be the last spectacle of a ruined theater, in a montage that combines the characteristic absurdity of Kafka's work with humor and questioning about artistic creation. The soundtrack is performed live by pianist, arranger and composer Fernando Moura.
