Singer and composer Jorge Aragon performs in Vivo Rio on July 12th to celebrate 50 years of Poesis. He owns many hits, among them: Me and you always, Lucidez, ♪ Cheeky little boy ♪, Alvará, Slut, ♪ I'm gonna party ♪, My samba's entangled, Skin thing and D The Fund of Our Quintal. In addition, a version of the classic cavaquinho Hail Mary by Gounod; by the vignette "Globeiza" (made for TV Globo) and by the version of "Father's Thing" in 1997, to wake up Mars Pathfinder, a NASA robot on Mars.
The poet is also in the voices of the greatest interpreters of the MPB. First, it was Elza Soares who made Malandro a success that has gone through decades. Then came Beth Carvalho, Alcione, Leci Brandão, Ney Matogrosso, Zeca Pagodinho, Martinho da Vila, Dona Ivone Lara, Jorge Vercilo, Emílio Santiago, Negritude Jr., Exaltamba, Art Popular, Elba Ramalho, Jair Rodrigues and others.
