The IRA! announced a special tour to celebrate the 20 years of the project “Acoustico MTV”, one of the most striking projects of Brazilian music. In Rio, the show will take place on 07/06 (saturday), in Vivo Rio. Released in 2004, the album was a huge success, selling almost 1 million copies between CD and DVD, and consolidating itself as one of the five most successful projects in the series in Brazil.
The show promises to relive the intimate atmosphere of the album, bringing back songs that marked a generation, such as “The Sunflower”, “I Want More” and “Late Empty”. In addition to the repertoire of “Acoustic MTV”, the band will also include great classics of its trajectory, such as “Aging in the City”, “Days of Struggle”, “Flowers in You” and “Núcleo Base”.
Another novelty is the inclusion of tracks that were incorporated into the IRA repertoire! over the years, as “Fatal Flerte”, “Gypsies”, “Sensitivity Well” and “For Love”, composition of Zé Rodrix. The public can also check the band’s version for “Train in Vain (Stand By Me)” by The Clash, renamed “To Stay With Me”.
