Less than a year after striking performances in Brazil, the duo Hermanos Gutiérrez returns to the country and makes his debut on the stage of the Flying Circus on Thursday, February 5. The show promises a night of strong sensory and emotional appeal. The opening is on behalf of Carlos Malta Sexteto, who presents a special tribute to Hermeto Pascoal, with the beginning of the programming from 8 pm.
Formed by the brothers Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez, the Ecuadorian-Switzerland duo is known for a sonority that combines traditional Latin American music references with contemporary influences. The most recent work, “Cosmic Sonido”, launched in June 2024, further consolidated the international recognition of the duo. Produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, the album was featured by Rolling Stone magazine as “brilliant with hallucinogenic energy”, evoking deep, spiritual and expansive sound landscapes.
In “Cosmic Sonido”, the Hermanos Gutiérrez leave behind the imagination of the desert and lead the public to a musical universe marked by Latin mysticism and hypnotic dialogues between guitars. With passages through major international festivals, such as Coachella and Glastonbury, collaborations with weight names of world music and over 3 million monthly listeners at Spotify, the duo is established as one of the leading exponents of contemporary instrumental music.
