The main exhibition of the year of the Mueu de Arte do Rio (MAR), "Funk: A cry of boldness and freedom", permeates the contexts of funk carioca through history.
The main exhibition of the year of the Mueu de Arte do Rio (MAR), "Funk: A cry of boldness and freedom", permeates the contexts of funk carioca through history.
With about 900 items among photographs, collages paintings, embroidery and facilities that show the potency of the infectious funk and full of history. The theme of the exhibition will present and articulate the history of the funk, beyond its sonority, also showing the urban, peripheral cultural matrix, its corographic dimension, its communities, its aesthetic, political and economic developments to the imaginary that was built around it.
