Two women of different trajectories meet and, from the exchange of experiences, discover points in common with the violence that goes through their lives. This is the premise of “Five Minutes Without Breath”, show that is on display, in the Mezanino do Sesc Copacabana. The montage is the first performed in Brazil from the original text of Venezuelan playwright Gustavo Ott.
Production follows the approach between the two characters over a night marked by memories, conflicts and discoveries. The narrative addresses topics such as gender violence, autonomy, belonging and abusive relationships, with listening and serority as central elements.
The assembly continues the artistic research of the Notorious Company, directed by Danielle Martins de Farias, dedicated to contemporary dramaturgies that discuss different forms of oppression present in everyday life. The group had already worked with Gustavo Ott’s work on “Two Loves and One Bicho”, a show that addressed homophobia. The season continues until September 29.
