After almost three years of an award-winning career, the show Fições, starring Vera Holtz, returns to Rio on August 8 and 24 at the Adolpho Bloch Theatre. Designed by producer Felipe Heraclito Lima and written and staged by Rodrigo Portella, Fições had as its starting point the book Sapiens – a brief history of humanity, by professor and philosopher Yuval Noah Harari, who sold more than 23 million copies sold worldwide.
From this best-seller, the play speaks of the human ability to create and believe in fictions: gods, money, nations... What was invented or not? But despite this unprecedented and revolutionary ability that has elevated our species to the condition of "owners" of the planet, we remain insecure and not knowing where to go. Are you satisfied?
Fictions received 22 nominations and won the Shell and APTR awards for best actress for Vera Holtz and APTR for best song for Federico Puppi.
