Rio will relive the classic Rio dances with the first edition of the Festival Ball of the Ancients, which takes place on November 15th, a holiday of Proclamation of the Republic, at Funding Progress. The event starts at 5:00 and promises 12 hours of programming distributed in three environments. The festival brings a mix of DJs, MCs, sound teams, passinho, train and lambaerobica, rescuing different decades of Brazilian music and popular culture.
On Track 1 - Classics of the Balls (the 70s and 80s), the audience will be able to review Soul, Disco Funk, Charme and Funk (Melody, Freestyle, Miami Bass and Trackers), with presentations of the Soul Grand Prix teams, commanded by DJ Samuel and DJ Peixota, and Cash Box Di Humilde, with DJ Jaime, DJ Napô and Grand Master Raphael.
Track 2 – Funk Brasil (1990s and 2000s) brings together outstanding meetings that marked the history of the dances in the country, with the teams Pipos – The Meeting of Massa and Castelo das Pedras – The Best Ball in the City.
Among the highlights of the event are artists who made history at the Rio dances, such as Naldo, MC Neném, MC Amilcka, MC Black, MC Julaine, MC Cocoa, Vanessinha Picachu, Juliana Fierosa, Ale Xaninha, Nininha Tchuchuca, MC Nem, Bonde do Vinho, MC Serginho and Vagueinho 3D.
