A time travel told by photos, iconic covers and memories that passed through generations. To celebrate the centenary of the newspaper The Globe, Casa Roberto Marinho is with the exhibition A Century of Stories, which goes through the history of the 100 years of the Rio newspaper. The exhibition, which is on display until August 10th, is an invitation to reflect on the history of Brazil and the world from its lenses and pages.
With 213 historical images, among photographs, illustrations and remarkable covers, the exhibition brings together unforgettable moments recorded by the journalistic gaze of Globo. Among the highlights is the first telephoto of the Brazilian press, sent in August 1936; a rare image of Lampião holding an edition of the newspaper, published in 1937; and the unlikely record of Bob Marley playing football with Chico Buarque and Toquinho, on a Rio beach, in 1980.
