From June, the Historical Museum of the City of Rio de Janeiro (MHC), at Gávea, receives the exhibition “We Combined Not To Die”, by the plastic artist Carioca Fessal.
With works between drawings, paintings, videos and installations, the exhibition proposes a deep reflection on the relationship of the human being with the natural world and the space that inhabits.
The exhibition presents delicate fusions between human bodies and vegetation, exploring the dialogue between individuality and the natural whole in a subtle and instigating way. Far from offering ready answers, the works invite the public to a reflective experience, raising questions about behavior, consumption and connection with the environment.
In addition to the main show, the project includes an exclusive audiovisual that contextualizes artistic production and extensive parallel programming during the three months of exhibition. Workshops, conversation wheels, artistic interventions and educational actions will involve the local community, visitors to the museum and visitors to the City Park, strengthening dialogue between art, environment, politics and community culture.
