The Rival Petrobras Theatre, in the Center of Rio, receives on December 9 the return of Enzo Belmonte. At the age of 23, the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist presents the show “Meu Axé”, a project that celebrates faith in ancestry and devotion to orixás, without giving up the samba root that formed it in Morro do Pinto, where it was born and created. Enzo is recognized as the last musical godson of Beth Carvalho, a title that places him in the direct lineage of “Madrinha do Samba”.
On stage, he travels classics of authors who shaped the genre, such as Arlindo Cruz, Jorge Aragon, Almir Guineto, Luiz Carlos da Vila, Xande de Pilares and Zeca Pagodinho. The repertoire brings successes that go through generations, including “I’m going to celebrate”, eternalized by Beth, besides “Sleeping Camarao the wave takes”, “Heart in disarray”, “Is it love?” and “Radio Patrol”.
