The Rival Petrobras Theatre receives, on November 1st, the Eddie Band, one of the most important names of Mangue Beat and creator of the original movement Olinda Style. The pernambuco group celebrates the 22 years of the album “Original Olinda Style” in a special show that promises a complete trip through the tracks of the album, as well as striking successes of the 35 years of career.
Mixing influences of punk rock, surf music, Jamaican reggae, ska, frevo and samba, the Eddie Band brings to the stage a light and irreverent sound, marked by the energy of Olinda's carnaval, where it emerged and which inspires much of the group's repertoire.
