The show “Donatello”, by Vitor Rocha, arrives at the Glaucio Gill Theatre in Copacabana, bringing a sensitive narrative about memory, affection and the impact of Alzheimer’s on family relationships.
The plot follows “Amendoim”, nickname given to the protagonist by his grandfather after the first crisis of the disease. Since they were little, they both shared the habit of having ice cream together. When he realizes that his grandfather has forgotten his name, but not the favorite flavor of dessert, Peanut decides to transform the memories of life into ice cream flavors, in a poetic attempt to rescue memories.
With humor and delicacy, the play goes through the character's childhood, adolescence and adult life, emphasizing the importance of valuing the moments before they lose their time. The direction is Victoria Ariante, with musical direction and compositions signed by Elton Towersey. The cast has the performance of Vitor Rocha and participation of musician Felipe Sushi.
