João Gomes, Jota.pê and Mestrinho present the “Dominguinho” tour in Rio on November 14th and November 15th (extra date) in Rio. Art City. The project, which brings together the three artists in a musical meeting marked by the northeastern influence, arrives in the city with a new stage of the tour after reaching prominence in Brazil and abroad.
The repertoire brings together songs such as “Minha Goddess” and the medley “Meu Scenário/Numa Sala de Reboco”, which gained prominence on digital platforms and contributed to broaden the international projection of the Brazilian forró. On stage, artists combine organic arrangements, copyright interpretations and references to northeastern music.
The presentation proposes a meeting between different generations and trajectories of Brazilian music, approaching traditional elements of forró from a contemporary language. The tour seeks to recreate live the atmosphere of the project “Dominguinho”, marked by the union between the three musicians and a repertoire dedicated to the roots of Brazilian music.
