Until February 14, the space gallery BNDES receives the exhibition Pretagonisms.
The collective, which marked the reopening of space, in August 2024, has 105 works from the collection of the National Museum of Fine Arts (currently closed for renovation), dated 1780 to 2023, including 59 artists and names such as Antônio Bandeira, Manuel da Cunha, Ana das Carrancas, Arthur Timótheo da Costa and Maria Auxiliadora.
“ This exhibition Pretagonism is very emblematic, because it challenges and questions the patterns of representation and puts black artists in the role of art and history. All this is a source of pride for the BNDES, which seeks to promote a more just and diverse society”, explained the president of BNDES Aloizio Mercadante.
