After a successful season, the musical Clara Nunes – The Warrior back on stage with new performances in Rio. This time, singer and actress Emanuelle Araújo takes on the role of iconic mining artist, while Carol Costa plays Bibi Ferreira, Clara's friend and confidant in the plot.
Idealized by Vanessa da Mata, who starred in the first season, the show is directed and staged by Jorge Farjalla, with text signed by Farjalla and André Magalhães. The play draws a poetic line through Clara Nunes' trajectory, addressing her roots in Minas Gerais, her connection with Brazilian religious syncretism — including candomblé, umbanda and Catholicism —, her passions and deep relationship with music.
On stage, the narrative unfolds from the look of Bibi Ferreira, a fundamental figure in Clara's life and career. The repertoire, which goes through several Brazilian rhythms, highlights the artist's passion for Portela and samba.
