The Portuguese singer and songwriter Carmine arrives in Rio for a unique presentation of the world tour “I’ll Die of Love or Resist”. The show takes place on Friday, August 21, at Vivo Rio, and presents to the carioca audience the songs of the artist's seventh album.
With mostly authorial repertoire, the new work brings together 11 tracks, eight of them composed by Carminho. The presentation proposes a dialogue between the tradition of fado and new possibilities of creation, maintaining characteristic elements of the Portuguese genre alongside different sonorities and musical resources.
Among the highlights of the album is “Know”, which has the participation of American artist Laurie Anderson. The track incorporates English verses about the poetry of Portuguese writer Ana Hatherly. The work of the poet also inspires “Balada of the country that hurts”, which combines Portuguese guitar, mellotron and vocoder, operated by Carminho itself.
