Carioquissima in Roça

The junina festival climate has already taken over the city with the arrival of the “Carioquíssima na Roça”, thematic edition of the traditional Carioquíssima creative economy fair. For this year, the event runs through different points of the city between May and July, gathering live music, typical foods, creative exhibitors and attractions for the whole family. The program starts on May 30 and 31, at the Girl Park of Ipanema, on the Arpoador.

With free entry, the event brings together about 70 exhibitors of fashion, decoration, gastronomy, drinks and craft products, strengthening small entrepreneurs and the local creative scene. The proposal is to transform public spaces of the city into meeting places to celebrate June traditions, popular culture and independent production.

At the premiere in Ipanema, the music program will feature presentations by the Asa Branca Group and Josi Forró, in addition to the DJs Xeleléu and Taroba, responsible for commanding the foot drag with classics of forró and xote.

The gastronomy also gains prominence with a selection of typical foods of the Juninas festivals, including canjica, sweet rice, corn cake, pamogna, kid's foot, broth, hot and handmade sweets. The event also offers play and children's space for children.
