The carioca public will be able to know the strength and diversity of Amazonian music this Saturday (25), at 16h, at CCBB Rio de Janeiro. The show “Carimbaby Project – Carimbó for the whole family” it leads to the stage a repertoire inspired by the popular traditions of the north of the country, especially the rhythms of Pará and Amapá.
Created by the artists from Paraná Barbara Vento and Aline Castro, the group proposes a cultural immersion that unites music, dance and forest narratives. The show mixes sounds such as carimbó, marabasco, lundú marajoara, siriá and guitard, and presents rereadings of masters such as Verequete and Pinduca, fundamental references of Amazon culture.
