The band Blitz returns to the stage of the Flying Circus next Saturday, March 28, with the tour “Now is the Time”. The show celebrates more than four decades of career with a repertoire that mixes rock, funk, reggae, samba, soul and blues — group trademarks since the early 1980s.
Led by Evandro Mesquita, Blitz is considered one of the most emblematic names of the so-called “Rock Brasil”. The band gained national projection by breaking pop music patterns at the time, influencing generations and helping to redefine the scenario of the music industry in the country. In the show, the audience can expect hits like The Two Steps of Paradise, You Didn't Know To Love Me and One more of love, which follow among the most popular of the band's repertoire.
The night begins with the band's debut Room 17 at the traditional home of Lapa. The group presents copyright compositions such as “Slow Dance in the Milky Way”, as well as rereadings by national and international artists. Before and after the shows, DJ Marscon Muller takes over. Fried in 2024 by young musicians, he bets on alternative rock and influences ranging from Radiohead and The Beatles to New Baianos and Charlie Brown Jr., seeking to create a direct connection with the public through energy and identity.
