On November 20th, the Day of Black Consciousness, the Flying Circus, at Lapa, becomes a great contemporary quilombo to receive the Black is Lindo Festival — a free and accessible meeting dedicated to art, thought and celebration of black identity in Brazil.
On November 20th, the Day of Black Consciousness, the Flying Circus, at Lapa, becomes a great contemporary quilombo to receive the Black is Lindo Festival — a free and accessible meeting dedicated to art, thought and celebration of black identity in Brazil.
The program starts at 3pm and brings together shows, conversation wheels, public class, exhibition of plastic arts, black fair, capoeira and black beauty parade. Among the highlights are Josiel Konrad, Carol Dal Farra, Canto do Batuqueiro, Festa Mariwô, DJ Ademarley, besides the Entrepreneurship Fair Encontro Preto, Galeria Ocupá, Capoeira de Angola Aluandê and Ballroom Casa de Laffond.
