The trajectory of Bette Davis, one of the biggest stars in the Golden Age of Hollywood, gains new life on stage at the Rival Petrobras Theatre. On October 21, actress Nina de Padua presents the monologue “Bette Davis – Survival Manual”, a spectacle that revisits the ups and downs of the career and personal life of the iconic American actress.
Written by Jau Sant’Angelo and directed under the provocative concept of Anselmo Vasconcellos, the solo reveals a multifaceted Bette Davis — talented, hurtful and at the same time vulnerable. With acidic humor and emotional density, the assembly leads the public to a journey through the artist's memories, exposing the loneliness and contradictions of those who lived under the spotlight.
