After winning the title of Best Musical of the Year in 2024 and accumulating more than 20 nominations for awards, superproduction Beetlejuice, the Musical returns to Rio for a short limited season. Inspired by Tim Burton’s classic film “The Ghosts Have Fun” (1988), the show premieres at the Multiplan Theatre.
In the role of the irreverent Beetlejuice, actor Eduardo Sterbitch returns to the scene after winning the awards PRIO of Humor, Bibi Ferreira and Featured Digital Press for his performance. With dark humor and eccentric aesthetics, the musical promises to repeat the success of the previous season. The direction is Tadeu Aguiar, with production of Touché Entertainment, ADP Productions and Artnic Entertainment. The Brazilian version of the libretto by Scott Brown and Anthony King, with songs by Eddie Perfect, is signed by Claudio Botelho.
The show also features a creative weight team: Laura Visconti in the musical direction, Renato Theobald in the scenography — awarded in 2024 —, Dani Vidal and Ney Madeira in the costume, Sueli Guerra in the direction of movement and choreography, Dani Sanches in the light drawing, Gabriel D’Angelo in the sound drawing, Anderson Bueno in the visionism and Lucas Pimenta as assistant director.
