The new generation rap makes room on the stage of the Flying Circus with the arrival of Ajulliacosta. On Friday, August 28, the artist presents for the first time on the house the tour of “New Testament”, her second studio album, on a night that will also have Maru2D shows and DJ set from Afrolai.
Recognized for combining classical rap references with contemporary sounds, Ajulliacosta builds her work from the encounter between the boombap and the trap. In “New Testament”, launched as a mark of transformation in her trajectory, the rapper addresses topics such as self-knowledge, identity, structural racism and the experiences of being a black woman.
The album brings together 11 tracks and features participations from names such as KL Jay and Mu540. Among the songs is “What Julia Will Be”, track that summarizes part of the issues present on the disc by questioning expectations, changes and the paths that the artist intends to follow.
