The show “A Greetings to the Divas“ arrives at the Riachuelo Rio Theatre in the Center on October 21, for a presentation that celebrates a decade of trajectory. With the direction and creation of Rafael Mello, the montage brings together great successes of international music in honor of some of the main female voices that marked different generations.
On stage, Claudia Nascimento, Jessy and Rafael Oliveira play classics of artists such as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Tina Turner, Beyoncé, Shania Twain, Adele and Celine Dion, among others. The show was born ten years ago as “A Greetings to Whitney Houston” and, throughout this period, expanded its repertoire to celebrate different divas of world music.
The montage combines live music, dance performances and a visual production marked by over 50 costume changes. The costumes, produced in New York City, reproduce looks associated with the honored artists. The musical direction is by Philipe Furtado, with choreographies by Paula Tinocco, Caio Bastos and Nathan Coder.
