Located in the region of Small Africa, Casa Savana has consolidated itself as a space of culture, gastronomy and ancestry. The site, besides a gastronomic space, has become a meeting point for communities, artists and public in search of experiences that unite music, affection and resistance.
Located in the region of Small Africa, Casa Savana has consolidated itself as a space of culture, gastronomy and ancestry. The site, besides a gastronomic space, has become a meeting point for communities, artists and public in search of experiences that unite music, affection and resistance.
In front of the kitchen is journalist, entrepreneur and chef Dandara Batista, creator of the project Afro Culinária Ancestral. For more than ten years, she has been active in research and appreciation of African gastronomy and its influences in the formation of national and international cuisine in trips to countries such as Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe and Cape Verde, Dandara has developed a menu that rescues memories and traditions in recipes full of history and ancestry.
Visitors can experience the chef's dishes at weekend lunches and also at the cultural meetings that move the house, always with programming focused on music and Afro-Brazilian art.
