Prainha Municipal Natural Park
The preserved environment is attached to one of the most beautiful beaches in the city. It is worth investing in a double ride between green and sea.
Prainha Park consists of a centre of visitors, lookouts and ecological trails, which unveil wild landscapes in an unforgettable setting.
Created in 2001, in an area of 147 hectares, the park is a landmark in the preservation of the region that unites Prainha to Grumari. The environmental protection area is known for the harmony between the green and the sea, which transforms the landscape into one of the most beautiful in the city.
The park is covered by different vegetation formations typical of the Atlantic Forest, as well as rocky shore vegetation. It houses very diverse fauna and flora, including endangered species. There are mammals such as: catfish, dogfish, naked hand, possum, cuícas, mycostar, bush rabbit, paca and rodents. Among the birds are dozens of species such as parakeets, maitacas, colibris, owls, turtledoves, well-vis and hawks. Snakes such as jararaca, jararacuçu, cobra-sipó and caninana stand out, as well as a variety of lizards.
Space also has a modern system of renewable energy production generated by sunlight.
