Posto 8
A little to the left of Farme de Amoedo Street, between posts 8 and 9, is the best known gay beach in Brazil.
Posto 8 in Ipanema, also known as Gay Farm, is a great place to make friends and meet people. A stretch of relaxed sand bounded by rainbow flags, where you can come across national TV stars, families with muscular gay children and men - known as Barbies.
The environment was immortalized by Mario Testino, in photos that ran the world and made the beach of Farme one of the most frequented stretches also by tourists. After the beach, a lot of people meet at Farme de Amoedo Street, notable for its popularity in the LGBTI+ community.
