Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Antiga Sé
It was in this church here that Princess Elizabeth married and that Bishop Peter I and Bishop Peter II were crowned.
The Our Lady of the Carmo Church of the Old See in the 16th century was a chapel that was given to the Carmelites. When the imperial family comes to Brazil it is borrowed as Cathedral for many years. A very important Church and one of the oldest in the city! A lot of history!
