Navy Cultural Space
Opened on January 20, 1996, it has an expository area of 1,100m2.
The Navy Cultural Space (ECM) is located in the old Customs docks, built on ground area in the second half of the 19th century, located at the end of the 15th of November Square, opposite the Av. Presidente Vargas. When visiting ECM, you will embark on a sensational journey through the history of Brazil and navigation. At the entrance, the exuberant Galeota D. João VI will transport him to the 19th century. Built in 1808 in Salvador, this vessel was in use until the early Republican governments. The journey continues aboard the Submarine Riachuelo and the Nau dos Discoverimentos, docked at the pier of the Cultural Space. The Helicopter Museum can also be found in its courtyard.
