Macumba Beach
Longboarders' paradise lies between Recreio Beach and Prainha.
It is an extensive beach with kiosks all over the edge and bike lane. The stone of Pontal separates Macumba Beach from Recreio. At low tide, a narrow path in the sand forms from the beach to the stone, allowing you to get there. The climb to the top takes about an hour, and the view from above is worth all the effort. It is possible to observe, on the right side, the entire stretch of sand from Recreio to Barra da Tijuca and on the left side, the Prainha. Surfers' favorite spot for its full and long waves practically all year round. Ideal for longboarders.
