Casa das Canoas
The property of the architect's family was granted for public visitation.
Designed by Oscar Niemeyer in 1951 for its residence, Casa das Canoas is considered one of the most significant examples of modern Brazilian architecture, and is notoriously recognized by experts in history and art criticism as an accurate and premonitory synthesis of the modern architecture of free authorial creation that flourished in Europe and the Americas.
