Gilson Martins - Copacabana
G. Blues, Gilson Martins factory, innovated in the concept of development of promotional products, treating them as gifts and being highlighted by creation, design and sustainability.
In 1982, Gilson Martins opened his production, G.Blues, and became a supplier of scholarships for the best brands in Rio. Company, Shop 126, Fabricato, Canton, Anonimato and Salinas are some examples of shops that sold their creations and helped consolidate their name in the fashion market.
But it was in 1990 that his work began to travel a path beyond fashion. On a plane trip to Rome, scribbling models on a paper, Gilson was approached by Sheila Lerner, curator of art exhibitions in São Paulo, who encouraged him to make his scholarships works of art. And so were born in 1993 the Scholarships-Sculpture, the designer's first work.
