Gilsinho Factory

Gilsinho's Factory was planned for visitors to wake up the child that exists inside each one and have the satisfaction of leaving the store with an exclusive scholarship that they helped compose. In the assembled studio, tables and propitious lighting leave the environment prepared for creation. The decoration is inspired by the childhood of the brand's creator. References are found in objects in strategic locations such as drawings, photographs, toys and musical instruments. Besides an old sewing machine that belonged to your mother.

The site housed the Gilson Martins Art Gallery, which for over a decade received exhibitions of works by renowned artists, designers and photographers and releases of new artists. Now, this space gives way to the Gilsinho Factory, celebrating a new phase and realization of a Gilson dream.

In bucolic climate, customers can purchase their purses and customize them in any way they prefer with icons designed by Gilson Martins. These icons are forms that refer to Rio de Janeiro – brand reference –, letters and other unique designs. The end result is a work of art. The initiative is new in Brazil and receives tourists from various places in the world.

Gilsinho Factory has three moments:

Gilsinho Store: Gilson Martins' children's product store. There are three initial lines of children's products with more than 20 products that depict the joy, simplicity and humor characteristic of the brand in an even more playful and naive way.

Gilsinho's memory: Rescue the child present in the brand products and tell a little the history of Gilson's childhood, who grew up in Morro do Pinto, neighborhood of Santo Cristo, seeing the Cristo Redentor, the Pão de Açúcar, the Central of Brazil and the Guanabara Bay. The photos, objects and symbols show how the games with the landscape of Rio de Janeiro began in the imagination of this boy. The technical and creative influences of her parents, a seamstress and a upholsterer, are also represented and continue to inspire the designer's work to this day.

Creation workshop: A purse customization workshop where through creative experiences, the customer can exercise his creativity, relax and test his skills, personalizing the front of his own bag.
