Cot Work
The Cradlework was Oscar Niemeyer's first project after graduation.
Cobra do Berço is the name that assume some philanthropic, non-profit institutions. The Rio unit building was designed by Oscar Niemeyer, who until then was a beginner architect and worked in the office of Lúcio Costa. On November 21, 1937 the institution was officially established and the building was ready the following year.
The construction of the reinforced concrete building, with pilotis, garden terrace and the implementation of vertical brise-soleil on its facade is a great architectural highlight.
