Cazuza
Long live Cazuza!
The Brazilian singer, composer, poet and lyricist known as Cazuza is eternalized in a bronze statue, in natural size, in the square that bears its name, in the neighborhood of the Leblon. Agenor de Miranda Araújo Neto, who died on July 7, 1990, became known for his participation as vocalist and lead lyricist of the band Baron Red, later succeeded by Frejat. Cazuza followed a solo career, being hailed by critics as one of the main poets of Brazilian music. Cazuza was also known for being rebellious, bohemian and controversial, exerting influence under an entire generation, becoming an icon of music.
