Bar Bukowski

The line at the door of a big house on Álvaro Ramos Street, in Botafogo, draws attention to those who pass. Working for 18 years in the same neighborhood, but in different addresses – already passed by Rua Paulo Barreto, Paulino Fernandes and São João Batista -, Bukowski, or “Buko”, as it is called by the most intimate, emerged from the union of two passions of three friends: drink and good music. The house works only on Fridays, Saturdays and holiday eves and has always incorporated into its programming themes such as transgression, counterculture and irreverence. No wonder the bar's patron is the aggressive German poet Charles Bukowski. In all there are four bars, three dance floors and outside area with tables and narghileria.
