Tourist attractions of Rio will have special operation at the holidays

With the arrival of the holidays of the year, the main tourist attractions of Rio begin to disclose their special operating schemes for the days 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January. The initiative follows the increase in the flow of visitors in this period and seeks to ensure an experience..

With the arrival of the holidays of the year, the main tourist attractions of Rio begin to disclose their special operating schemes for the days 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January. The initiative follows the increase in the flow of visitors in this period and seeks to ensure an organized and safe experience for cariocas and tourists.

Each tourist equipment defines its own schedule, which may include schedule adjustments, partial operation or regular operation maintenance. As some sites are still finishing their calendars, the recommendation is that the public consult the official channels of each attraction before planning the tour. Check out, below, how will be the operation of some of the main sights of the city:

Corcovado Train – Transport to the Cristo Redentor operates normally on these days from 8am to 6pm.

Nice Park Pão de Açúcar – On 24 and 31 December, the park runs from 8am to 6pm. On 25/12, the operation is normal and on 01/01, the operating hours are from 09 to 22h

AquaRio – The largest marine aquarium in South America opens from 9am to 3pm on December 24th and 31st. On December 25th and January 1st, the operation will be from 12h to 5h.

Rio Biopark – On December 24th and 31st, the space runs from 9am to 2pm, with last entry at 1pm. On January 1, the visitation takes place from 12h to 5h. The Biopark will be closed on December 25.

Museu do Amanhã – Located in Praça Mauá, the museum will not open on December 25 and January 1.

Rio Art Museum (MAR) – Cultural equipment will also not work on December 25 and January 1.

Rio Planetarium – The space remains closed and resumes activities from January 6.

Jardim Botânico – The Jardim Botânico of Rio works from 8h to 14h on 24 and 31 December. On December 25th and January 1st, the site will be closed.

Copacabana Fort – The attraction will be closed on 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January. The space will open exceptionally on Monday, the 29th, when it usually does not work.

CCBB Rio de Janeiro – The Banco do Brasil Cultural Center will also not work on December 25 and January 1.

Yup Star – The Rio Ferris wheel runs from 10h to 4h30 on 24 and 31 December and from 12h to 18h30 on 25 December and 1 January.

To better enjoy the days of party in the city, the orientation is to plan the routes in advance, follow the updates in the official channels of the attractions and respect the operating guidelines of each space. Rio de Janeiro continues to offer options for all visitor profiles, combining nature, culture and leisure even during the holiday season.
