The neighborhood of Santa Teresa, in the central region of Rio, will be the scene of intense gastronomic and cultural programming during the holiday of Holy Week. Between 3 and 5 April, the Santa Festival at the Table brings together 15 restaurants and bars with exclusive dishes created especially for the date.

Promoted by AmeSanta, the event highlights the culinary diversity of the neighborhood, with options ranging from Brazilian to Portuguese cuisine, through northeastern and German influences. Among the highlights of the gastronomic circuit are recipes based on cod, octopus and lamb, as well as harmonizations with special beers and artisanal cachaças, and typical Portuguese desserts.

Some participating establishments also offer exclusive gifts: customers who make early reservations and consume the festival menus may win an official dish of the event, subject to daily availability.

Cultural/musical programming for the whole family

In addition to gastronomy, Santa at the Mesa bets on a diverse schedule that includes live music in bars and restaurants, children's activities, cultural workshops and artistic attractions throughout the neighborhood. Spaces such as the Gloria Maria Park and the Laurinda Santos Lobo Cultural Center concentrate part of the activities aimed at children and families, with games, workshops and even egg hunting. The program also includes theatrical shows, exhibitions and visits to historical spaces, such as the Benjamin Constant House Museum and the Céu Chácara Museum, expanding the experience beyond gastronomy.

In the musical circuit, different houses receive live presentations over the three days, while the religious circuit maintains traditions of the date, with celebrations and stagings in churches such as the Parish Santa Teresa of Jesus and the Parish Our Lady of the Snows.
