The Riotur, in partnership with EmbraturLab, Smart Tour and Iter Group, resumes an initiative with the help of AI to monitor the Réveillon in Rio de Janeiro. Through the Tourist Specialist System (SET), awarded in the Data Management and Tourism Intelligence category at the National Tourism Award 2023, the Riotur aims to transform the experience, scheduled to take place until the day 06/01, into a significant milestone in the management of major events.
The implementation of the research will be done via codes QR installed in hundreds of strategic locations such as traditional tourist areas, bars, restaurants and hotels. Cariocas and visitors will be invited to participate in a survey. The result will be released in early January. The first edition took place during the summer of 2024.
This project places Rio de Janeiro as a leader in technology and innovation in tourist events. Research is important because it gives insights into some of the demands of the population and also because participation is voluntary.
For Patrick Corrêa, president of Riotur, the goal is to obtain data to improve the experience in the city. “The initiative is an advance in the continuous improvement of the Réveillon of Rio and fundamental to the consolidation of the city as a global tourist destination.”
SET is an advanced artificial intelligence tool designed to simulate the knowledge and decision making of tourism experts. Analyzing large volumes of data, it provides accurate insights into tourist flow patterns, visitor behavior and preferences.
By collecting, analyzing and interpreting real-time data on the experiences of tourists and residents, SET enables managers to identify trends, solve problems and explore new opportunities. This system enables a deeper understanding of the elements that impact the tourist experience, allowing significant improvements in security, infrastructure, cultural and leisure attractions.
The research also has the participation of iFriend, travel tech specialized in tourist experiences conducted by local guides and receptive.
The project is available in site. Participants will receive a discounted code for buying attractions.
