Riotur initiates accreditation of autonomous vendors for the Carnaval Street 2026

Riotur and the Dream Factory event company announce the opening of the accreditation of self-employed vendors interested in working at the 2026 Street Carnaval of Rio. The process begins in this Tuesday (23/12/2025) and reinforces the commitment to the organization, transparency and the generation of work opportunities during the largest cultural manifestation of the city.

Registration will be open from 23 December 2025 to 7 January 2026, exclusively by the site www.carnavalderua2026.com.br. To participate, it is necessary to be Brazilian, older than 18 years, and present identity card or CNH, CPF and proof of residence in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

The draw of the vacancies will be held on the day 8 January 2026, same date as the schedule for removal from the kit, which follows until 14 January. The delivery of the kits will take place between 15 and 24 January 2026.

The credentials will be valid 17 January to 22 February 2026, allowing street vendors to act throughout the period of the Street Carnaval, including rehearsals, official days of folia and post-carnaval.

In 2025, the Street Carnaval demonstrated the importance of accreditation as a tool for organization and productive inclusion. In all, 55.957 street vendors signed up to work at the party, number representing a growth of 65% compared to 2024, when about 34,000 people They checked in. In view of the high demand, Prefeitura do Rio, through Riotur, made available 15 thousand vacancies, filled by electronic draw, ensuring equal access and transparency in the process.

The successful sellers must appear at the place that will be previously disclosed for proof of the requirements of the regulation. At the time, you will also receive guidance on the next steps, such as the removal of the kit — made up of vest, styrofoam and credentials. The approved ones will still undergo training before being legally qualified to work in the street blocks.

The 2025 Street Carnaval met over 8 million revelers on the streets of the city and moved about R$ 5.5 billion in the carioca economy, positively impacting sectors such as tourism, commerce, gastronomy, transportation and services. In this context, walkers play a central role in both economic dynamics and public experience.
