After a decade, Rio returns to the official calendar of Brazilian fashion with the realization of RIOFW – Rio Fashion Week, which will take place between April 15 and 18, 2026, at Pier Mauá, in the city center. The event will feature about 30 parades and will gather the main brands and names of the national fashion industry.

The expectation is that RIOFW generates an economic impact higher than R$ 200 million, in addition to the creation of approximately 8,000 direct and indirect jobs, reinforcing the role of Rio as a creative, cultural and economic hub.

Among the brands and designers already confirmed on the line-up are names such as Isabela Capeto, Adidas, BlueMan, Osklen, Salinas, in addition to Angela Brito, Apartment 03, Dendezeiro, Handred, Helo Rocha, Lenny Niemeyer, Lucas Leão, Misci, Normando, Patricia Viera, Piet, Pool, Argalji, Hisha and Karoline Vitto.

The selection brings together consolidated brands, copyrights and brands with strong presence in the market, reflecting the diversity and creative force of Brazilian fashion. Among the highlights of this edition is the participation of designer Isabela Capeto, one of the most emblematic names of Rio fashion, whose presence symbolizes the return of the event and its connection with the identity and fashion tradition of the city.

The event will be held by IMM, a company also responsible for the production of São Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW). The proposal is to consolidate Rio de Janeiro as the capital of Brazilian fashion and expand its international projection. The initiative establishes a complementary calendar: the Rio Fashion Week in the first semester and the SPFW in the second, ensuring an annual edition in each city.

In addition to the parades, RIOFW will have an expanded programming, including premieres of audiovisual productions related to fashion, youth training actions, music and talks, strengthening the connection between fashion, culture and innovation.

Brands that traditionally present their collections in the first half of SPFW may take their parades to Rio, expanding the visibility of the collections and diversifying the national fashion scenarios.

The official announcement of the event was made during the press conference at the City Palace, headquarters of the Prefeitura do Rio, with the presence of representatives of the fashion industry and industry authorities.

New information will be announced soon. Follow our website so you don't miss any details!
