The biggest tennis tournament in South America is already set to return to the sports calendar. The Rio Open 2026 will be held between February 14 and 22, at the Brazilian Jockey Club, bringing together great names of the world tennis and promising another edition full of emotion, tradition and great moves. The pre-sale of tickets will start on November 4th (Tuesday) at 12am, exclusively for Claro Club and XP customers. The general sale will be available from November 11th, also at noon.
Among the first athletes confirmed are Brazilian João Fonseca, one of the main promises of the sport, and tennis players Lorenzo Musetti, Gael Monfils and Matteo Berrettini, who are already among the favorites of the public. The organization highlights that further confirmations should be announced in the coming weeks.
The expectation is that the event will maintain the high technical level and vibrant climate that have become trademarks of the tournament, which integrates the ATP 500 circuit. Rio Open is recognized for attracting thousands of fans to each edition and consolidating Rio de Janeiro as one of the main sports destinations on the continent.
History of the Open River
The history of Rio Open began in 2014, when Brazil again hosted a large tournament after years without such a competition. Among the champions who have already made history on the cariocas streets are names such as Rafael Nadal, who won the first edition, David Ferrer, Pablo Cuevas, Diego Schwartzman and the young Brazilian Thiago Monteiro, who has already played great campaigns.
The tournament also revealed national talents and inspired new generations of tennis players, being a meeting point between the passionate audience and the great stars of the international circuit.
