During the ILTM Latin America 2025, an important fair dedicated to luxury tourism, data from the Brazilian Luxury Travel Association (BLTA) were presented that outline the profile and habits of the luxury traveler.

BLTA is an entity that brings together hotels and operators specialized in luxury tourism in Brazil, with the aim of promoting authentic and sustainable experiences. The association also works to promote Brazil as a tourist destination both in the internal market and abroad, highlighting the cultural diversity and natural beauty of the country.

According to the data presented, after the capital of Rio de Janeiro, Foz do Iguaçu and Pantanal are the destinations most sought after by the high standard traveler.

The luxury tourism sector moves around 1.5 trillion euros per year globally, with growth projections of 1 trillion more by 2030, according to information from Bain & Company and Altagama. In Brazil, the average daily stay in luxury hotels is around R$3,000, according to a survey by BLTA.

Among the main international tourist emitters are Argentina, Chile and the United States. However, when it comes to luxury travelers, Americans lead the list, followed by French and British.
