The result reinforces Rio’s attractiveness in the international market, especially during the school holiday period, when the city offers a diverse schedule of events, cultural attractions, outdoor experiences and world-renowned landscapes.
In addition to the leadership among foreign tourists, Rio is also among the preferred destinations of Brazilians for the July holiday, ranking second in the national ranking, behind only São Paulo. The performance shows the strength of the city in both international and domestic tourism.
